Skye Nicholson is a troubled teen if there ever was one. As the judge recounts the charges against her—drug and alcohol abuse, vandalism, shoplifting, dismissal from five foster homes—Skye denies every one. The judge thinks Eileen Chambers is out of her mind to take Skye into her home, but he doesn’t know Eileen’s heart. Eileen believes Skye deserves one more chance before she is locked away in juvenile detention.

Skye feels unworthy of the love that Eileen shows her, and she doesn’t want to change. But she can’t fight forever against the love and forgiveness she experiences at Keystone Stables.

Marsha Hubler writes to inspire hope in teens with the serious problems that lead to a rebellious spirit. She strikes a chord in her readers, enabling them to identify with this wayward girl who says she doesn’t love anyone and believes that no one loves her. Marsha offers answers through Eileen’s love and commitment, demonstrating how God’s love can change the most rebellious heart.

Anyone who begins this series will surely want to read more about Skye in the next book, A True Test for Skye.
