Editing is a career that lends itself to a flexible schedule as well as seasons of feast and famine. It is easy to develop a reactionary business.
This six-week course will help freelance editors:
· Review the previous year to assess the strengths and weaknesses of their editing business.
· Review time-management principles and determine how well they did in 2009.
· Assess their goals vs. accomplishments and set a course to improve in the new year.
· Create a business plan for the new year that will include results-based assessments.
· Organize their business to prepare for a more productive 2010.
· Use the strengths of 2009 to establish a proactive calendar of business for 2010.
· Look at the potential for expansion of their editing business.
This course focuses on looking back to plan ahead. It is full of material but offers flexibility to participants since it will encompass the holiday season.
