 I want to send a shout-out to my client Shawn Black, co-founder of Project Prayer Flag, Inc., a grass-roots nonprofit military support organization. The project began in 2002, when Shawn and his wife, Angelica, began giving American pocket flags to those departing for deployments in the war on terrorism. Today, they have given over 230,000 patriot flag packs, letters, packages, and related support to service members and their families.
Earlier this year, while on assignment as a US Air Marshall in Iraq, Shawn followed up on the HCI loop lead I forwarded to him. Somehow, he made the time to write four articles for HCI's compilation Republican's Soul. Shawn is back from Iraq and just learned they accepted all four articles for the book that is due out in July! I'm always excited when one of my clients reaches another milestone on his publishing journey.
